Terms and Conditions TU Delft for Life Network

To be accepted by all participants

1.Terms

1.1 These Terms govern your access to and use of the TU Delft for Life Network, run by Aluminati, and any information, text, graphics, photos or other materials uploaded, downloaded or appearing on the TU Delft for Life Network ('Content').

1.2 Your access to and use of the Services is conditional on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By accessing or using the TU Delft for Life Network you agree to be bound by these Terms. 

1.3 These Terms may change from time to time without notice and you should consult the Terms each time you use the TU Delft for Life Network in order to view the most current terms.  All references to the Terms mean the current version of the terms at the time of your use.

1.4 We process information about you in accordance with our Privacy Policy of the TU Delft for Life Network which forms part of these conditions and in accordance with the Privacy Statement of Delft University of Technology.

2. Registration and security

2.1 You will not provide any false registration or account information about yourself and/or your organisation and will not create an account for anyone other than yourself.

2.2 You will not use the TU Delft for Life Network if you are under 18. If you are under 18, you need approval from your parents in order to register.

2.3 You will not share your password with anyone or do anything that would put the security of your account in danger.

2.4 We have the right to cancel any account at any time if we believe you are not in compliance with any or all of the Terms.

3. Your use of the TU Delft for Life Network

3.1 You must not use the TU Delft for Life Network or any facilities or information which are available through it to:

  1. commit or encourage unlawful acts or acts which breach of these Terms of Use;
  2. hack, or attempt to hack, any part of the TU Delft for Life Network or any system used to run it;
  3. store personal data derived from the TU Delft for Life Network;
  4. post material that is obscene, offensive, or otherwise unlawful;
  5. technically harm the TU Delft for Life Network and/or its systems (including, without limitation, computer viruses or malicious software or harmful data).

3.2 We reserve the right to withdraw or suspend access to the TU Delft for Life Network without notice. We reserve the right to amend the TU Delft for Life Network and/or change it without notice. We will not be responsible or liable if access to the TU Delft for Life Network is not available at a certain time. Anything on the TU Delft for Life Network may be incorrect or not updated. We are not obligated to update the TU Delft for Life Network. Any of your Content on the TU Delft for Life Network is submitted in accordance with the Terms, as part of your use of the TU Delft for Life Network. You agree that all of your Content will comply with the terms. The TU Delft for Life Network does not replace professional advice in any way.

3.3 You agree not to copy any part of the TU Delft for Life Network in any way that violates the Terms.

3.4 You agree that you are providing us with all rights necessary to contact third parties if you provide any contact information for that third party and you wish us to contact that third party regarding the TU Delft for Life Network or services available on the TU Delft for Life Network.

3.5 The TU Delft for Life Network contains links to many external web sites which are not affiliated with Delft University of Technology. Delft University of Technology is not responsible for and has no control over these sites, and links to external sites should not be taken as a recommendation or endorsement of the external site's information, products or services.

3.6 Nothing on the TU Delft for Life Network constitutes any part of a contract unless otherwise expressly stated.

4. Safe use of the TU Delft for Life Network

4.1 You will not access the TU Delft for Life Network, solicit data or otherwise collect other users’ information in any automated fashion, including bots, spiders or scrapers. You will not upload viruses, malicious code or attempt to attack or degrade the TU Delft for Life Network in any way.

4.2 You will not use the TU Delft for Life Network to do anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, misleading, malicious or discriminatory.

4.3 You will not place any unauthorised or commercial Content on the TU Delft for Life Network.

4.4 We do not review your Content or any other content posted to the TU Delft for Life Network, but may, in the case of a violation of these Terms, take any action, including removing any of your Content that we become aware of being in violation of the Terms.

5. Limitation of liability

5.1 Material posted on the TU Delft for Life Network is not intended as, and must not assume to amount to, advice on which the user can rely.

5.2 The TU Delft for Life Network is provided on an 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' basis. To the extent permitted by law, Delft University of Technology excludes any representations or any warranties (whether express or implied by law), including as to satisfactory quality, fitness of a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security, accuracy or the reliability of the TU Delft for Life Network.

5.3 Nothing in these terms of use is intended to exclude the liability of Delft University of Technology for death or personal injury caused by the Delft University of Technology's proven negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

5.4 Subject to this, Delft University of Technology will not be liable to you or any party for any of the following losses or damage, even if the losses were reasonably foreseeable to both you and the Delft University of Technology when you began using the TU Delft for Life Network. These include: loss of data, loss of revenue or anticipated profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill or injury to reputation, loss suffered by third parties, any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss or damages arising out of use of the TU Delft for Life Network or reliance on any material or services provided in the TU Delft for Life Network or accessed through it, whether or not amended by third parties and regardless of form of action and whether or not resulting from either of us breaching these conditions or from disruption, discontinuation or unavailability of the TU Delft for Life Network at any time.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

6.1 These Terms of Use are governed by Dutch law. Disputes arising in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court in The Hague, Netherlands.

7. Miscellaneous

7.1 If any provision of the Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable then the remainder of the Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

7.2 You agree that these Terms and any documents referred to in the Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the TU Delft for Life Network.
