Jamie George (LS & BF 02)

It may have been a dead rubber but Jamie George showed his promise when he finally made his World Cup debut for England on Saturday.

The Old Haileyburian who turns 25 on October 20 came on as 30th replacement for hooker Tom Youngs in the match at the Etihad Stadium.

George’s first line-out throw went awry but after that he settled down well in a game that England went on to win 60-3.

The young Saracens player performed industriously in the loose phases.

He also demonstrated his skill as a ball carrier and an ability to make good ground.

George now has three England caps.
